Do you have a macro setting on your camera? That's what I use for close ups.

Also.. I've been meaning to ask does wordpress have a storage limit? I noticed your photo files are HUGE and the blog pictures are HUGE... I LOVE the extra extra large format!

No way!! I am so excited to see that there are so many of you who have done this project. I'm a terrible homeschooling mother when it comes to these creative projects. Thank you, Lord, for co-op where there are classes and wonderful, creative teachers.

Beth - I didn't realize you went to school for elementary ed! Interesting. You have been holding out on me. I can just imagine coming home and seeing the butterfly in your room. Cool! Scary at first but then cool. :)

One of the cool things about David is that he is almost always willing to smile (or at least try to smile). In many ways, he is our little sunshine boy. He also has a great ability to forgive, which comes in very handy when you have older brothers and an older sister.

When I was in college I had to do that for an elementary ed. class and I just hung the cocoon from a shelf in my room. It was so interesting to me to watch the cocoon change so much over time. It was exciting to enter my room one day and to find a butterfly flying around. But, I let him fly out the window real soon because he needed to find some food and I didn't have anything for him to eat. Keep us updated!

Our kids love the caterpillar to butterfly transformation! They hatched a few in Jamie's class this year, and the caterpillar/butterfly containers were constant attractions in the classroom. We did some at home, was it last year? It's very exciting and amazing! What a good spring/Easter activity!!
