Okay! For anybody reading who feels they can NEVER do this, don't despair! I'm one of those people who could NEVER do this!

Poptarts, anyone?

(Okay, just kidding, we do eat a little better than that!, but just things that can easily be fixed on the fly!)

It's very satisfying to get lots of baking done, isn't it? And to have plenty home-cooked meals in the freezer feels good.

I have to admit that we don't do cooked breakfasts here. Cereals with milk, toast, fruit juice and fruit is all that's on offer in our house. And lunches are simple DIY affairs too. Unless it's a very special occasion.

I just don't have the time to cook more than one meal a day. Cooked breakfasts and lunches are not the norm in british households, either.

The meals I do make are usually very balanced and healthy though so I don't feel bad.{g}

Great job, Kathy! I've really been thinking of trying to make more "real" food for breakfast and less ceral.

You will bless your family with all your hard work and pre-planning.

Kathy, Thanks for the 3 hour break in my day. I've just relaxed and read through a large part of your 365 day journey of your family, friends, and fun. It is very awesome and very inspiring to see how you and your family LIVE for Christ!!!! And how HE shines through you and your family...Praise the Lord. Have a great summer. I hope to have you and your kids and some of the HOPE Co-Op gang over for a play day soon.

Love your sister in Christ, Tracey

Way to go Kathy. I love freezer cooking - but need to do more of it "soon". Our new eating style threw me....and I've had my hands full simply modifying old favorites. I'm about ready to begin the freezer thing again. LOL

We DO breakfast just as you share. It is so nice to have lots of great things in the freezer to pull out. I discovered it also makes camping and traveling a breeze. I don't have to wonder if Zander is getting things he's not supposed to have.

Anyway - congrats on your breakfast bonanza! ::snort::

The first time takes the longest amount of time!! If you keep it up from here on out you should only have to do this once a week. I usually do it on Sunday evening or Monday. Remember too that you can make extra batter and store in in the refrigerator.... this stays good for about a week. OR you can just mix all of your dry batter ingredients and store them in containers... this last forever. I love making life simple!

Great POST!! I love the recipes... I am so going to try them! YaY!!

You really work hard! I hope your 5 appreciate all that scrumptious cooking. My 5 had to eat cereal 5 days a week, but on weekends, they'd get pancakes or waffles if they liked. Loved the recipes! I wish I weren't watching my weight, or my kitchen would smell like the old days! I've always LOVED pancakes, but cereal is all we eat now. With skim milk, of course.
