Camp Shots

It has been a wonderful week of camp.

biking off

Daniel and David rode their bikes most days. Monday was pretty much the only day of sunshine and dry skies the entire week.

We shared the house with my sister in law, Elizabeth, and her three children. The kids were delighted to have a solid week of cousin time.

Timothy and Joshua – as CIT (Counselor In Training) and senior camper – head off for their first day.

Rachel went to camp but Rebecca stayed home and helped me with child care. We had six little ones from ages 2 to 5 (including Sarah). It was certainly a busy week for us and I couldn’t have done it without Rebecca. In fact, she did most of the work, I was just there as a supervisor.

Cousins and friends, Rachel and Rebecca.

Fun crafts, exciting science demonstrations, rowdy games, good Bible stories, lots of songs, creative skits, and much laughter. A very satisfying week.

  1. Looks like fun!! Our family leaves today for Kids Kamp. We are excited for all the fun activities planned for us this week.

  2. Pretty skimpy on the pictures, dear Katherine. I hope there are more to come at some point. I’m glad camp was a hit! Sounds like Rebecca was a WONDERFUL helper for you! I’m glad Rachel WENT to camp. Was it a hard decision for her- with cousin Rebecca not going? I love that Rachel. She is her own person- and a dear thoughtful one!!

More more?? Love you all. Aunt Kate

  3. It sounds like a lot of fun. How many kids were there in total? We went to a high school camp last year because I was playing in “the band.” My kids had a GREAT TIME!

  4. We’ve been gone to the beach so I am just now catching up on the blog…Only a handful of pictures today – waah! Sounds like it was lots of fun and hectic, of course!

  5. Wow, Rachel and Rebecca look very much alike in that picture. What are they, related or something?
I am with Kate, I want more camp pictures! It is hard to live vicariously through just those. :)

  6. Wow hope you had tooons of fun at camp! Oh, and Happy Birthday Sarah!! We have been busy planning Lizzy and Tarah’s B-Day. Well, camp looks like so tons of fun! See y’all soon!

  7. Amy – have a GREAT time at camp!! I hope everything goes well. Summer is such a funny mixture of totally busy and relaxing. It was so much fun seeing you last month. I wish we lived closer!!

  8. My pictures are in two places. I haven’t finished loading them on to my computer at home. Even still, I’m afraid I didn’t get all that many pictures of camp this year. Sorry! Because of the rain, Rebecca and I spent most of our time at the house with the little ones. We didn’t pick them up or drop off at camp as we would normally. Just too sopping wet.

Joshua is worried I don’t have very many pictures. Oh dear.

  9. It’s funny – I don’t tend to think Rachel and Rebecca look alike, but in this pictures they certainly do. Interesting. The paternal genes are strong in this family. :)
