I got this twice. What's that about? Do I get to reply again? I do love seeing other responses! This blog is lots of fun. I'll be responding EVEN AFTER the contest is over. Haha.

Love you. AK

Wow. I'm thinking it looks scary. Did anyone do the dunes on their bottoms? I suspect I might have been tempted to go down that way.

Our Rachael (Anna's mom) grew up doing dunes somewhere and is VERY interested in a Snider vacation together somewhere on Lake Michigan. We'll have to keep the Bear dunes in mind.

Glad you're all safe. Glad Mamie was safe, too. AK

This sounds like a great adventure! Maybe we should drag our family up to Lake Michigan some day.

UGH... I'm embarassed to admit that I didn't notice the small paragraph in the sidebar until I went looking for it after seeing it mentioned in the blog entry. He must have just put it there recently, right? Because I DO occasionally reread everyone's sidebars. I wondered about the picture awhile ago, but never asked. GREAT ADVENTURE! I can see that we would have ALL KINDS of fun together! You *MUST* come out for a visit sometime.

Emily - that's exactly what we enjoy about Lake Michigan as well, it's a HUGE lake and feels almost like the ocean but it isn't salty at all.

Lisa - I guess she might have returned eventually. Ha! I think we WERE cranky, tired and hungry until the pizza arrived and then we were all better.

Most of the children were ready to do it all again the next day.

I loved going to the Michigan Dunes when I was growing up in Indiana. In fact, we were there last summer I believe when we went with my sister's and their families. I love the fact that it feels like you are at the ocean but the water is not salty :-)

Loved the captions in the pictures! and I love the new banner picture! Now that I know the history behind it (that's it not just some random picture that you found on the web...) it makes it more impressive! What a hairy, scary adventure!!!
