Cynthia - Thanks for the encouraging words (even if you were just joking). I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner, I have an extra battery (Tim made sure I had one so I WOULDN'T run into this problem). I keep it in my camera case (so I won't lose it) but I never carry that case with me. Even though my camera is small and the case is a nice size, I tend to slip the camera in the felt bag it came with (that is so pathetically thin it could hardly qualify as a "camera case"). It's much less bulkier in my purse or bag that way and it gives me the illusion it's somewhat protected from the bumps and jostling of life.

Now I realize I need to slip that extra battery (which is small) into my purse. Duh! I feel rather silly not to have thought of this sooner. The battery would easily fit into a pocket my purse. Sigh.

Thanks for the great idea!

Debbie - Sarah was climbing up confidentally until she got to the top and realized she would have to come down. Poor thing. For some reason she didn't go back up again. Ha!

It is very nice to have a park so close by. We have another one that is itty bitty that is even closer. It has a beautiful field that is perfect for frisbee and a small playground just right for the little ones. Everyone enjoys it as long as we don't stay too long. :)

See the things blogging has forced us to think about? Now all you need to do is go out and purchase a 2nd battery so you can ALWAYS have a spare charged battery with you... and a couple more memory sticks while you're at it!

Gorgeous park pictures. Is the sky really that blue? WOW. I love your boundaries written in the sand and how that leads to freedom. Very godly and wise and practical.

I don't really want to start over raising Andy, Travis and Alex--but we could have done a much better job. God is in charge- and not thru with ANY of us yet. Thank you, Lord.

Happy Tuesday to you all. Aunt Kate

It must be nice to have the park so close. What a fun day for the boys. Poor little Sarah looks a little nervous up on that climbing rock.
