Anne -- Sadly, I wasn&#039;t able to work any blimps into the story, but I&#039;ll be sure to correct that oversight in my next attempt.  :)

Kristine -- yes, the amount of vertical rise visible on the mountains is one way that Western Washington is very distinct from Colorado.  When you&#039;re on a plateau at 9000 or 10,000 feet, a 14,000 foot high mountain doesn&#039;t seem like much, especially when you can drive to the top, as you can on Pike&#039;s Peak.</description>
