Anne -- Sadly, I wasn't able to work any blimps into the story, but I'll be sure to correct that oversight in my next attempt. :) Kristine -- yes, the amount of vertical rise visible on the mountains is one way that Western Washington is very distinct from Colorado. When you're on a plateau at 9000 or 10,000 feet, a 14,000 foot high mountain doesn't seem like much, especially when you can drive to the top, as you can on Pike's Peak. Debbie — Heh.
