Oooo! Stunning photography… : ) See? You can do funny all by yourself! My husband and I went out together for dinner BY OURSELVES for the first time in AGES last night… and you’re right - very good for the ol’ perspective! There is just something so peaceful about an entire meal where one doesn’t have to constantly mutter… “Take another bite… Take another bite… Take another bite… Stop making finger puppets out of your banana slices…” : P

That’s where my husband and I celebrated our anniversary. It was an awesome place.

A good reminder that we were husband and wife first before we were mommy and daddy… and before that, boyfriend and girlfriend. That means we actually had interests that revolved around something else besides kids. Easy to forget that while you’re in the trenches of parenting.

And Haystack Rock is one of my favorite places… what a beautiful place for a church retreat. Truly a place where you can marvel at God’s creativity and beauty!
