I was reading through this post, thinking how sweet it was, and thinking that Kathy was the author. Somehow, it put a different spin on it to realize it was a father writing this. Many dads have their strengths, and my dh is a wonderful father--but most don't seem to have the see-through heart, the verbal and written encouragements, the openness that you regularly share so publicly on your blog.
