I actually am going through the same thing right now. This morning, I forced myself to get up early to take a shower and make breakfast before the kids were up. My priority now is to share the Word with the kids in the morning. I am not a morning person. So, as I am dragging myself up in the moring, I’ll pray for you too.

I lift up Kathy to You now. Draw her near to You. Keep her mind stayed on Thee as she accomplishes all the You have given her to do. May she be diligent in her tasks and bask in Your presence. Give her strength, patience, calmness, and pure joy as she lives this day. To You be the glory. Amen.

Father God,
Thank you for creating Kathy and giving her a wonderful husband and children. Thank you also for implanting in her a desire to seek you for the guidance to be the wife Tim needs and the nurturer her children need. Stand guard, my God. Help Kathy fight your foe that desires to tear from her the strength to do your priorities for the family you have given her. May her day today be full of your love and contentment fulfilling the plan you have set out for this day.

Will do, dear Kathy. We especially empathize with cold and rainy. It’s our norm, and we know how it can fuel grumpiness and weariness both. Pretend you’re Norwegian: suit the kids up in rain gear and boots and make them go outside anyway for 15 or 20 minutes of wildness or running or something. I just came in from a walk, and passed by the kindergarten where workers and children were all out playing in the playground even though it’s pouring rain and 40 degrees. You’ll be in our prayers.

I’ve heard it said when we can’t pray for ourselves, others will ‘stand in the gap’for us. I’m happy to do that this day.
