Oh, Kathy! I can't say I have done that yet, but most of my guys are still small...I'm sure it will happen sooner or later.

Oh I can beat that... though I wasn't a mom yet.

The week before I went on a Missions Trip to Romania we were in church and they took an offering for me and I got EXACTLY what I needed (to the dollar I might add--totally God) and I was so excited I headed straight to the bank and then to my mom's work. I ran into her unit (she was a nurse) and told her the wonderful news, so excited.

She was excited for me too (since she didn't have the money to give me ;))

Then she looks at me and says, "Where's Cassie?" My 5 year old sister.

"OH CRUD! I LEFT HER AT CHURCH" Nearly 30 minutes ago....

Oops... Luckily my youth pastor knew my head wasn't screwed on straight because of how excited I was and took her with him (and his two small kids ages 5 and 7) to lunch. And since we lived in a small town they weren't hard to find.

I pulled up and jumped out and ran into "Super Taco" and Cassie says... "YOU LEFT ME!!!"

Oops... ;)

Heh heh. Maybe it went something like this (of course this is all hypothetical):

Me: "Well, Kath, it's 11:40, and I'm pretty tired. Shall we turn in?"

Kathy: "Yeah, I'm ready for bed. Let me just shut down my computer."

Me: "OK. I'll run up and turn on our heated mattress pad." (Walks to front door, locks it, pauses thoughtfully, realizing something is wrong.) "Didn't we have to pick someone up this evening?"

Kathy: (Does quick mental count of kids snugly in their beds, comes up short.) "Yikes! We forgot Joshua at church!"

I'll bet Stuart was really impressed with his friend's parents. "Your mom and Dad sure are together," he probably enthused, slapping his arms to stay warm.

"Yeah," agreed Joshua. "Personally, I really enjoy standing in cold, dark and empty church parking lots while all my friends are home in bed."

The boys were very impressed that I could make the turn into the church parking lot on two wheels.

My parents did this once to me. I hope they all forgave you & that you didn't get a speeding ticket going to pick them up. ;-)

uh, yep. I actually had to buy a digital watch with an alarm and set it so that I wouldn't keep forgetting to pick up my third child from preschool. lol
