Oh, BOY, do I remember Amy Grant and Petra – all those. I am SO glad we’ve moved past that! We are also a family that only listens to Christians music.

I’m not sure what all you guys listen to, but a couple that we really enjoy (besides the really well-known ones like Casting Crowns or Rush of Fools) are Shane and Shane and Connersvine. Shane and Shane has been around for several years, Connersvine is newer – but both have amazing worship music.

For Shane and Shane check out Psalm 145, Vision of You, and Yearn – those are probably my favorites – but they are ALL awesome!

I remember how you guys always had music playing! It was so pleasant (even if I liked a bit more beat than you did). I’m finding (in my brief car escapes when I have time to listen to music which might be once a week) that I really like country music. They tells stories and lots of the songs have pretty wholesome lyrics. There are a lot of Christian country singers, but I’m not sure ALL the songs I like are by Christians. And we are basically a silent home, although occasionally Abby will put on a praise CD or the boys will blast Toby Mac (one of our very, very few music purchases in the last 10 years). And I think we have an MP3 player, but we just never get around to using it. I suppose Abby’ll pick it up one of these days and claim it as her own.

I LOVE the new technology of mp3 downloadable music! It always used to irritate me to spend $15-17 for a CD when I really only wanted a couple of songs… and then you had to store the CD.. boy do they take up a lot of room after awhile (LOL)!.

Great idea! I think I know what my 12 year old is getting for her birthday:)

Ah, can I even count the number of Petra, DeGarmo and Key, Michael W. Smith, Amy Grant…. concerts I went to as a young girl. I’d love to see Third Day, Casting Crowns, Sarah Groves today, but they don’t seem to travel around as they used to.
