Mud Pies for All Ages
It seems you’re never too old for mud pies.

Sarah’s birthday is on Wednesday. She’ll be 6 years old. She’ll still be my princess and baby.
Won’t she?

A big pile of dirt just cries out for attention. Sometimes it says, “Play with me! Drive cars up and down my hills. Dig your toes in my dusty layers.”
But today it shouted: “Add water and get dirty!”

You’re never too old for mud pies.

Can I place your order?

Excellent! The pies look good, but I can’t help but notice that you don’t seem to be that covered in “flour”… [smile]
I think doing “silly” things with people (probably even those our own age) is important as a way to bond and rediscover some of those simple joys in life.

Yes, please. I’d like a mud pie- maybe several.
I love you kids. Aunt Kate

I forgot how fun that could be! I think my girls and I might be making a few today! They are going to think that this Mama has really gone off the rocker…

You know, I never actually made mud pies. Mud never seemed that appetizing to play in (pardon the pun). I did however bake many a sand cake.

I love this post. Making mud pies sounds actually kind of soothing. Not too much thought process as a real pie, less pressure. My kids would be thrilled and probably in shock when I announce mud pie time. hehe I can’t wait!
